Arizona Here We Come

Well hello again blogging world! It's been a while. Life has been a little bit crazy around these parts lately. For those of you who haven't heard yet, Patrick got into dental school! After countless applications, 6 interview invites, 4 interviews around the country, and 3 acceptances, we are thrilled to say that Patrick will be attending Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona this August! Hooray!! We couldn't be more excited.

It has been a crazy process, but I can't tell you how great it is to know that all of our (and when I say "our" I mean Patrick's) hard work has paid off. It's wonderful to have some direction and to at least know where we'll be for the next four years. Now we just have to figure out the details - where we're going to live, how we're going to move all of our stuff to Arizona, how we're going to pay for the next four years, etc. In case you didn't know, dental school is a little on the pricey side of things.

Every day brings a new emotion for me. I've lived in Logan for six years now. It's become my home. This is where we met, some of our dearest friends are here, and our families are within driving distance. It's going to be really hard to leave this place. But life is about changing and growing and moving forward. We know we're supposed to be going to Arizona and are really excited to see what our future holds for us there. I know that in time Arizona will become home for us. We'll meet great friends who will become our family and have a great adventure doing it all.

People keep asking me what I'm going to do once we move. And to be quite honest, I'm not entirely sure yet. Luckily, I've got six months to figure that out. I'm open to any suggestions, advice, tips, etc from those of you out there who have gone through all of this or know someone who has. Really, please leave a comment. :)

It's as much your accomplishment as it is mine! No way I'd be able to get through last semester/last three years without you (ex. four weekends of you driving six hours to and from Salt Lake usually after midnight). I can't wait for Arizona and what it holds for us.

Love you

I am so excited for both of you to start this journey! It will be so fun and a great experience! Janet, my advice to you would be to meet all the other 1st year ladies and create a support group, activities/dinners or fun things to keep you company when Patrick is busy. I have lots more but that is the most important. :) Good luck so excited. PS Pensky was the cheapest truck back in the day :)

Congrats Patrick and Janet! So so exciting. I'm just glad you'll be a little bit closer to California -- who knows, maybe you'll need a weekend break every once in awhile! ;) Miss you guys!
